Best Summer Ever

The YMCA of Grays Harbor celebrated 65 years of Camp Bishop with a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the renovation of the Hal Davis Dining Hall.

It was 65 years ago that over 700 Volunteers came together to build the Camp Bishop in one day. On Thursday, we celebrated the first large renovation of the Hal Davis Dining Hall in those 65 years.

While the journey to complete the Master Plan of Camp Bishop is still ongoing, the work done to date is worth celebrating!

The Dining Hall now…

  • Houses a fully renovated kitchen
  • Floor to ceiling energy efficient glass doors to enjoy the lake view
  • Energy efficient windows
  • New siding
  • Insulation
  • Sheetrock
  • 3 restrooms plus an ADA accessible restroom (for the first time at Camp)
  • Hand cleaning stations
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Added storage
  • And increased capacity to serve more youth!

We are thankful for all our supporters who have helped make this renovation possible.

Thank you for all your support of the Y and our mission.
